Friends can be rude to each other and have it be funny (within the right atmosphere). However, there is no reason a waiter or waitress should ever feel like it’s okay to ‘joke around’ with me by being rude. Particularly right out of the gate, without any period of feeling us out.
You don’t know me… who the eff do you think you are? I hope it was worth it to try and be “funny” like that, ’cause it just cost you your tip.
